GC2012 Radio: That’s all folks…

Tim Tanton and Rich Peck working along with a great team of communicators. We'll be here until it's all over tonight.

On our final show, we hear delegates react to this afternoon’s judicial council ruling, which deemed “Plan UMC” unconstitutional. That ruling led to an evening plenary session that continues as I write this. Plus…the Rev. Becca Clark talks with me about Twitter and the guaranteed appointment debate that took place earlier in the week. A few notes on just how much content was accessed during GC2012. More than 500 pieces – audio, video, photos, and blog posts on gc2012conversations.com and umc.org had 1.2 million page views.

That’s a lot of hard-working communicators. It has been a blessing to be part of the effort. gc2012_radio_5_4-12

Thank you so much for all of the media coverage during General Conference. The blogs, the live stream, the live feeds, the information and the news coverage, all of it; is the one thing that definitely DID work well. Hopefully with all of these tools, and the new relationships forged by them, we will be able to come together and draw up a new plan for the future of this Church that we Love. ~ “In our end, is our beginning!” Blessings, Grace and Peace!
