Bishop Kiesey reminds us in a passionate sermon what the main thing is. The main thing is Jesus Christ and the call to feed the Lord’s sheep. I am reminded of a phrase in a prayer from The Common Book of Prayer – “God of peace you have taught us that in returning and rest we will be saved. In quietness and confidence is our strength.” Bishop Kiesey calls us to return to the Lord of the Church and listen carefully “throw your nets on the other side.” Trust me. Be quiet. Listen.
